We're Back, A Great Summer!

Soaring Eagle Dance Workshop, Sept. 13, 2017, is back at Ballard Parent Center in Old Town. While we were in the Park a few things changed like new tables and chairs, walls painted and new educational posters. The traditions of the workshop are renewed as we come back to Center for another year, so we invite you to bring your children and family to learn by observation and participation, a traditional way. Come on down for the pow wow dance, music and also enjoy the friendship of the gatherings.

Good feelings all around as our respected Elder and one of the founders of the Soaring Eagles, Randy Edmonds, was with us and offered the blessing to start the evening. Announcements before the dancing started included recognizing some of our Soaring Eagles who placed at the recent pow wows. We are always proud of our dancers wherever they dance. It also reminds us all that the traditions of the dance circle from the Workshop is a solid foundation for our children's future. We are also very proud Yumiko, who has been a Soaring Eagle since the beginning, represented herself and family very well in the Sycuan Pow wow Princess competition. Enjoy the pictures from her history as a Soaring Eagle.
