Soaring Eagles Fill the Circle

At our first gathering in February the Soaring Eagle Workshop was 'full'. Full hearts, full bellies and full dance circle. Chuck gave the blessing for our meal. Maybe with a hint of spring there was fried chicken, potato salad, corn on the cob, melons... Thanks to all who brought a dish to round out the table.

Calling All Dancers... Maybe the songs, maybe the spirit or just happy to be in the circle at Soaring Eagles, it seemed everyone came to dance.

Thanks to all our singers, dance mentors and parents for their continued support and encouragement to the young dancers. The workshop is also a time to practice and learn other dance styles like Jingle, Shawl or Traditional.

In recent weeks our dancers have participated in local pow wows. It reminds us when we see them practice in our dance circle at the Soaring Eagles we'll see them again dressed in the arena. Lots of pride for them in our hearts.

As we can see our singers may have literally "danced 'em til they dropped" but still with smiles. All the dancers have gained confidence in their skills and place in the circle. We're always proud to see this in our young dancers and reminds us once again that Soaring Eagles is all about our children.
